At Custom Body Wellness, we will be taking time to ask you questions about the pain you are feeling, your job, activities and body mechanics. After this short discussion, it will be determined which areas and techniques (listed below) are best to get you optimum results. This is your session and we want you to participate. Let your therapist know about your personal massage history, what you feel has helped in the past sessions or even if you feel something lacked results you were hoping to achieve. It is important to us to learn about your massage goals and expectations. The information and feedback you give helps guide your session. It is our goal is to help you leave your session feeling better than when you walked through the door.

Chair Massage – If you do not want to undress or only have 10 minutes to spare, or maybe you want to see what we can do. This massage can be a quick fix for issues in your neck, shoulders, back, arms and hands.

Accidents/Injuries – If you had a car accident or a fall we will talk it over with you to understand what happened. With that information we can determine which muscles were directly affected and if there are any compensation injuries.
Auricular Therapy –Using the external surface of the ear to help alleviate pain or issues in other parts of the body.
Headaches/Migraines/TMJ – Do you suffer from headaches, migraines or jaw pain? Getting the muscles in the neck, face, scalp and back released can decrease the intensity and/or frequency of your head and or jaw pain.
Myofascial Release – A safe and very effective hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion.
Prenatal Massage – Relieve many of the normal discomforts experienced during pregnancy, such as backaches, stiff neck, leg cramps, headaches, sciatica, and swelling. Regular massage therapy while pregnant not only helps diminish anxiety and discomfort but boosts relaxation as well. This ultimately can lead to improved sleep patterns.
Pre and post Surgery – Getting the muscles, tendons and ligaments loose before your surgery and getting the scar tissue broke down after surgery. Massage can also assist with the rehabilitation needed to help you find your normal as quick as possible.
Reflexology – There are points on the hands, feet and ears that are connected energetically to specific organs and body parts through energy channels in the body. Applying pressure to points to help remove energy blockages, produce changes in pain and to produce benefits elsewhere in the body. Reflexology helps promote health in that related area.
Sports – If you are a professional athlete, active person or play sports for fun. Massage can help keep your body in peak condition. Each activity and injury comes with a specific group of muscles that needs to be focused on to keep you in your game.
Teens and kids – Massage helps decrease muscle tension and increase range of motion, which assists in recovering from, or preventing, injuries.

Trigger Point – All muscles have Trigger Points. Once they are activated they are painful right at the site or they refer pain to another point in the body. Releasing these points is sometimes the treatment needed to stop pain and hidden problems in your body.

Cold Stones – Cold stone massage involves the use of marble stones that are chilled in ice. The cold causes the blood vessels to narrow. Once the stones are moved, the blood vessels open and bring fresh blood and oxygen to the area which increases circulation. This addition to massage aids in reducing inflammation, soreness after workouts, sinus and allergy issues (used on the face), muscle spasms, migraine relief and more.

Guided Meditation – Need to escape? Add a guided meditation to your session. Talk to your therapist about what you would like to focus on. You will then be verbally guided during your massage to help you find a deeper relaxed state of mind.
Hot Stones – Hot stone massage is a type of massage therapy that involves the use of smooth, heated stones. The localized heat and weight of the stones warm and relax muscles, allowing application of deeper pressure to those areas without causing discomfort.

Massage Cupping – Massage cupping can help certain health problems that are caused by stagnant blood and a poor energy flow through your body. The pressure that the cups create draws blood to the affected area, increasing your blood flow overall.
